 Field Visit To Phagwara Municipal Corporation

Today we the B.A Journalism & Mass Communication 1st year student had gone to field visit in Phagwara Municipal Corporation. Two of our faculty members have also joined with us. They took great care of all the students. We safely reached and return from Phagwara Municipal Corporation. Now I will describe about Phagwara Municipal Corporation. Phagwara is a city and at present it is the municipal corporation in Kapurthala district. Kapurthala is the central part of Punjab. It is situated  in Doaba Region Punjab. Phagwara is located 40 Kilometres from Kapurthala, thye district headquarter of Punjab. The current commissioner of Phagwara Municipal Corporation is PCS Devinder Singh. Phagwara Municipal Corporation is situated in 6Q89+CM8, Grand Trunk Road, Indira Nagar Model Town. There are so many job in Phagwara Municipal Corporation and in every sector has eligible supervisor. We discussed with the technician head of the municipality. Our teachers have also asked about the administrative and judicial system of the municipality. They are doing their work with great sincerity. In there we had a long discussion with technician head of Phagwara Municipal Corporation. We knew the roles and functions of their works. Phagwara is an ancient city. Municipal Corporation also trying to clean  this city. The sanitary workers are also very responsible. Municipality is also careful for their employees. Employees get nice benefit from this corporation. Municipality has taken so many important good steps for developing Phagwara and they are continuing it. We are very delightful to go to visit there. It was our another educational visit. At last we and our teachers had eaten delicious and we had drink tea also. We had spend a nice time today.

Exploring in Rurka Kalan Village

 30th September was our 2nd field visit B.A Journalism & Mass Communication 2nd year & 1st year also M.A 1st year students. On that day we first reported in our department building. The faculty members had gave all the instructions of what we have to in the field visit. Our department arranged the university bus for our transportation. Three of our faculty members joined us with us in the field visit. There was a great fun in the bus while we were going to Rurka Kalan Village. The time duration from LPU to Rurka Kalan village is 33 minutes. Rurka Kalan is the very nice village in Punjab state.  Rurka Kalan  is a village in the  Tehsil   Phillaur ,  Jalandhar ,  Punjab , India.  Khurd and Kalan  Persian language word which means small and Big respectively when two villages have same name then it is distinguished as  Kalan  means Big and  Khurd  means Small with Village Name.  Harike Pattan Visit Last 2nd February 2024 we had a study tour to Harike Pattan wetland Punjab. Harike Wetland also known as "Hari-ke-Pattan. Harike Pattan lake jointly downstream from the confluence of the Beas & Sutlej rivers. Harike barrage was construct to meet the irrigation and drinking needs of southern parts of Punjab and adjoining state of Rajasthan. It's nearest place is Amritsar. It is 60km far from Amritsar. Wetland is very essential thing for a country. It balance hydrological and ecological equity. Harike Pattan mainly situated in Taran Taran district and Ferozepur district Punjab India. It is a largest manmade wetland in northern India. Although it is India's second largest wetland but now it is famous for it's diversity. It's depth is 2 meters and surface area is 4,1000 hectares.
