Exploring in Rurka Kalan Village

30th September was our 2nd field visit B.A Journalism & Mass Communication 2nd year & 1st year also M.A 1st year students. On that day we first reported in our department building. The faculty members had gave all the instructions of what we have to in the field visit. Our department arranged the university bus for our transportation. Three of our faculty members joined us with us in the field visit. There was a great fun in the bus while we were going to Rurka Kalan Village. The time duration from LPU to Rurka Kalan village is 33 minutes. Rurka Kalan is the very nice village in Punjab state. Rurka Kalan is a village in the Tehsil PhillaurJalandharPunjab, India. Khurd and Kalan Persian language word which means small and Big respectively when two villages have same name then it is distinguished as Kalan means Big and Khurd means Small with Village Name. In Rurka Kalan we first visited YFC Rurka Kalan. They received us with great warm welcome. A officer of YFC Rurka Kalan described about YFC with great sincerity. From the establishment of YFC to present. In YFC we took interview of all the people. In 1999, Gurmangal Dass observed a concerning trend in his village: many young boys were aimless, drifting into drug abuse—a pervasive issue in Punjab at the time. However, when Gurmangal and his friends played football, they noticed something remarkable: the game attracted children and villagers alike, sparking excitement and unity. Recognizing the potential of football to instill direction and positivity in young lives, Gurmangal envisioned a solution. His goal was simple yet profound: to use football as a tool to engage youth and steer them away from the perils of drug addiction. Thus, in 2001, the Youth Football Club Rurka Kalan was born. From YFC we went to a gurudwara. In the gurudwara we did our lunch. The gurudwara is very attractive. I liked the gurudwara's structure & design. All of the students enjoyed much in the 30th September field visit. This was one of the most memorable field visit indeed.
