"February such a great month"


Today is 1st day of the month of February. This month is very special to me than the other months. I am far away from my country, but missing each & every moment those of events . Today , The month long" Amar Ekushey Book Fair" will begin on Bangla Academy. Bangla Academy organises the country’s largest annual book fair commemoration the historic Language movement of 1952 and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the movement. 21 February is our mother language day & in 1999 UN declared February 21 as the international Mother language day . so this book fair is very special for us. I wish every Bangladeshi mean it. I will remember my old book fair visiting days. I respect our all martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our language . I respect all martyrs of 1952 s language movement.


 




 It is a month of celebration . Bangladesh & Indian people celebrate "Pohela Fagun " Fagun is Bengali word . The first day of the month of Falgun (Bengali month) all kinds of people celebrate " pohela fagun ". Girls & ladies wear yellow sharees , they decorate them with flower. Mens & children’s also wear colour dress . It is proverb , fagun brings colour in men's life. There are so many cultural programme holds on this day. Flowers bloom on this month. Sometimes Pohela Fagun and valentine are celebrated on same day.






Valentine day celebrated around the world on 14 th of February . That day is also a special day for everyone . On valentine day we show & greet our loving person. It may our friends, family person, relative , teachers & others. Love never fails. Valentine party & programmes mainly celebrated in Western countries . But it is a matter of love , we also try to maintain it with a little form. This year I am far away my home , I told it. But my so many good wishes for my loving family , friends & for all. I will remember all of them with cordially. Any festival people’s come closure to each other. It gives man inspiration . We should try to celebrate our festival according to our ability.

Exploring in Rurka Kalan Village

 30th September was our 2nd field visit B.A Journalism & Mass Communication 2nd year & 1st year also M.A 1st year students. On that day we first reported in our department building. The faculty members had gave all the instructions of what we have to in the field visit. Our department arranged the university bus for our transportation. Three of our faculty members joined us with us in the field visit. There was a great fun in the bus while we were going to Rurka Kalan Village. The time duration from LPU to Rurka Kalan village is 33 minutes. Rurka Kalan is the very nice village in Punjab state.  Rurka Kalan  is a village in the  Tehsil   Phillaur ,  Jalandhar ,  Punjab , India.  Khurd and Kalan  Persian language word which means small and Big respectively when two villages have same name then it is distinguished as  Kalan  means Big and  Khurd  means Small with Village Name.  Harike Pattan Visit Last 2nd February 2024 we had a study tour to Harike Pattan wetland Punjab. Harike Wetland also known as "Hari-ke-Pattan. Harike Pattan lake jointly downstream from the confluence of the Beas & Sutlej rivers. Harike barrage was construct to meet the irrigation and drinking needs of southern parts of Punjab and adjoining state of Rajasthan. It's nearest place is Amritsar. It is 60km far from Amritsar. Wetland is very essential thing for a country. It balance hydrological and ecological equity. Harike Pattan mainly situated in Taran Taran district and Ferozepur district Punjab India. It is a largest manmade wetland in northern India. Although it is India's second largest wetland but now it is famous for it's diversity. It's depth is 2 meters and surface area is 4,1000 hectares.
