Spending Time in Phagwara Local Market


29th March we visited to field visit in Phagwara local market. We the students of journalism & mass communication and two of our faculty members had visited to the field visit. Each of the students had visited to individual shop. That was a great experience for us. We had taken so many photographs in there. For the first time I felt a unique experience of doing market analysis. It is one of the indispensable part of journalism & mass communication. Phagwara is a good place to live and it is not overall crowded area. The city is famous for sugar, glucose, starch, fine fabrics textiles and auto parts manufacturing for engines in Punjab, but comparatively Phagwara has no big shopping malls. Only one mega mart is situated in Phagwara, it's name is Vishal Mega Mart. It is not so small. The mega mart is located Handa City Centre, GT road near bus stand Phagwara. Vishal's customers love it's unique combination of great quality and amazing prices. Vishal also delivers excellent quality products in fashion, food, grocery and general merchandise at great value through it's exclusive brands available only at Vishal. Beside this there are some general stores in Phagwara local markets. They are: Jyoti foods, K Sons and Company, Bakery Basket, Punjab Bakery, The Best Fruit Juice and some shops in Phagwara local market. I have said earlier Phagwara is famous for cloth stores. 1. Kasai Cloth House 2. Mahavir Cloth Palace 3. Satnam Cloth House 4. Krishna Cloth Centre 5. Monga Cloth House 6. Baljit Cloth House. We went to see the variety of clothes and knew the quality and price of those clothes. We talked with the cloth sellers also. There are some juice corner in Phagwara local market. They serve fresh fruit juice. We enjoyed the and took interview of the juice sellers. Anyway Phagwara local market is rich in all essential goods. If Phagwara Municipal pay attention  then Phagwara local market will become developed and systematic.

Exploring in Rurka Kalan Village

 30th September was our 2nd field visit B.A Journalism & Mass Communication 2nd year & 1st year also M.A 1st year students. On that day we first reported in our department building. The faculty members had gave all the instructions of what we have to in the field visit. Our department arranged the university bus for our transportation. Three of our faculty members joined us with us in the field visit. There was a great fun in the bus while we were going to Rurka Kalan Village. The time duration from LPU to Rurka Kalan village is 33 minutes. Harike Pattan Visit

 Harike Pattan Visit Last 2nd February 2024 we had a study tour to Harike Pattan wetland Punjab. Harike Wetland also known as "Hari-ke-Pattan. Harike Pattan lake jointly downstream from the confluence of the Beas & Sutlej rivers. Harike barrage was construct to meet the irrigation and drinking needs of southern parts of Punjab and adjoining state of Rajasthan. It's nearest place is Amritsar. It is 60km far from Amritsar. Wetland is very essential thing for a country. It balance hydrological and ecological equity. Harike Pattan mainly situated in Taran Taran district and Ferozepur district Punjab India. It is a largest manmade wetland in northern India. Although it is India's second largest wetland but now it is famous for it's diversity. It's depth is 2 meters and surface area is 4,1000 hectares.
